Kimberly Ferreira, MS, RD, LDN

Kim Ferreira grew up in a small dairy community in Michigan and moved to New Bedford in 2006.  Kim holds a B.S. from Michigan State University in Dietetics and a B.S. in Kinesiology. She resided in New York City while completing her combined Masters in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetic Internship at the James J. Peters Veterans Hospital in Bronx.  Kim has been involved in Mass in Motion since its inception in 2009; first as a partner, then part-time staff as the Healthy Living Coordinator and moved into the Director role in 2012. Prior to working with Mass in Motion, Kim worked at Coastline Elderly Services providing community nutrition to Seniors throughout the Greater New Bedford area and has been a Dietitian consultant for Infinity Medical Research.  Kim is an appointed member of the MA State Nutrition Board and serves on the Board of Directors for SEMAP (Southeastern MA Agricultural Partnership) and United Way of Greater New Bedford.

Program Coordinator/Market Manager

Stephanie Reusch, MA, RD, LDN

Stephanie is a native Southeastern MA resident with a passion for educating communities about healthy and sustainable eating. For more than eight years, she has worked on her farm in Rochester, gaining a great appreciation for current agricultural realities. She earned a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics to learn about the nutritional benefits of the food she grew, and later received her M.A. in Food Culture and Communications from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy, the birthplace of the Slow Food Movement. As a Registered Dietitian, she is dedicated to connecting communities back to the importance of food. Stephanie started at Mass in Motion New Bedford in 2012 as a Healthy Market volunteer recruiting corner stores and officially joined the team in 2014. Her time is spent wearing many other hats in the community as the Network Coordinator for the Southeastern MA Food Security Network and a Per Diem Clinical Dietitian at Southcoast Health.


Farmers Market Assistant Manager

Dawn DiMarco, BS

Dawn grew up in the small farming town of Berkley, MA and moved to Somerset in 2013. Dawn spent many years of her childhood on her great-grandfather’s potato farm in Millville, MA which sparked her interest in sustainable eating and healthy living. Dawn recently earned her B.S. in Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition from Bridgewater State University in May 2016. In 2014, She spent a semester in Los Angeles studying Nutrition at California State University Northridge. While in Los Angeles, she completed an internship with The National Multiple Sclerosis Society learning the effects diet and lifestyle have on the disease. Dawn joined the Mass In Motion team in June 2015 as an intern for the New Bedford Farmer’s Market. She is now our Market Assistant and oversees all daily market operations.

Communications Coordinator

Abigail Hevey, MA

Abby holds a B.A. in Political Science from Buffalo State College and a Master’s in Professional Writing from UMass Dartmouth. After a year of service as an AmeriCorps Vista writing grants, Abby continued her work with non-profits developing marketing and communications materials, fundraising, and writing grants. Abby joined the MiM NB team in 2014 to write grants and manage communications. She also serves as Chair of the Fairhaven Cultural Council.
