It’s that time of year again! Fresh, local produce will be available throughout New Bedford over the next several months. The more fruits and veggies you and your kids can eat, the better, and farmers’ markets are a great place to get them. If a vegetable is new or different, something you’ve never tried, always feel free to ask the farmers their favorite way to prepare it – they’re usually happy to share!
And here’s a great guide from UC Davis on how to store your vegetables and keep them fresh for as long as possible: Storing Fresh Fruits and Vegetables for Better Taste.
