Sign Up for a CSA/Farm Share

Are you looking for low-cost, healthy and locally sourced fruits and vegetables? Join our New Bedford Farm Share Program!

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?

The Farm Share program lets you buy shares of fresh, affordable fruits and vegetables from local farmers with your SNAP benefits (previously known as food stamps) and/or cash/check during the Farm Share season (June-October). Your Farm Share payment is debited from your EBT card the same day you get SNAP benefits each month (see more info below). If you are paying with cash/check, you will pay the farmer at the beginning of each month. Once you sign up, you can pick up your share each week from a convenient pick-up site near your community.

HOW DO YOU SIGN UP?
Follow these easy steps:
1. Find your closest pick up site and give the hotline a call/email to see if there are open spots.
2. Sign up with your Farm Share program and complete a membership agreement form.

Paying with SNAP/Food Stamps:
We are pleased to be able to accept SNAP/EBT (previously known as food stamps) benefits as a payment option for our CSA and at all of the farmers markets we  manage in New Bedford.

NEW THIS YEAR: For every dollar in SNAP benefits you spend on your CSA share (or other fruit and veggie purchases), you’ll get an extra dollar in your
SNAP account (up to $80 per month depending on household size- see chart below), to spend anywhere you like on SNAP-eligible foods! In other words, if you spend $80 on our CSA farm share to feed your family of six or more this month, you would receive another $80 in benefits to use on any other SNAP eligible items.
