Start off the New Year eating and buying local at the New Bedford Winter Farmers Market! Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 10am-1pm, now through May 2017, you can find a variety of farmers and vendors at the winter market, located in the hallway of the Bristol Building in downtown New Bedford – between Green Bean and Travessia Winery!
You can purchase winter produce, along with grass-fed beef, chicken, eggs, honey, baked goods, jams, jellies, dog treats, lotions, candles, and more! For a full list of vendors and more details, check out our Farmers Market page, and keep up-to-date by following us on Facebook.
According to Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA), “If every household in Massachusetts spent $20 more on local food per month (and $20 less on non-local food), $234,768,540 more local income would be generated per year and 3,876 local jobs would be created in the State.”
And thank you to our generous sponsors: Hawthorne Medical, the New Bedford Credit Union, and Vibra Hospital!
